Oshoala’s fantastic finish nominated for Best Goal of Women’s World Cup
Super Falcon star, Asisat Oshoala has been listed among players that scored amazing goals at the just-concluded FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
Oshoala scored the only goal by a Nigerian at the tournament when she sealed a 2-0 victory for the Falcons against South Korea in a group A match.
The Barcelona Ladies forward, who had made history by also scoring at the UEFA Women’s Champions League, was crowned the most valuable player in that game against the Koreans.
Her superb goal in France came late in the game when Chidinma Okeke picked up possession just outside her penalty box, skipped past an opponent as she surged forward, and played a long ball into Oshoala’s path, who then finished it off.
