Musa, Ndidi, Iheanacho mourn late Leicester owner Srivaddhanaprabha

Super Eagles trio of Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho are in morning mood as Leicester City owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha lost his life, along with four others in a helicopter clash on Saturday.

The four others include two members of Srivaddhnaprabha’s staff, Nursara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpar; the Pilot, Eric Swaff, and passenger Izabela Roza Lechowicz, who is also a pilot.

The boss watched his club secure a comeback 1-1 draw against West Ham at the King Power Stadium before boarding his private helicopter and met his sudden death.

Under his ownership the Foxes won the Premier League in 2016, having started the season as 5,000/1 outsiders. The club’s fans in tribute to him said, “He made us champions, so he’s a champion.”

“You were far too kind and supportive. Thank you for all you did for the club, for always encouraging the team and coming all the way to watch me play at the World Cup. Rest on sir #theboss.” – Ndidi, amidfielder at the club tweeted.

“May the good Lord accept your soul rest on boss .” – Iheanacho, a forward at the club tweeted.

And Musa, who was at the club before moving to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia last summer, also joined his former teammates to mourn the boss.

“Someone special, will not be forgotten, wonderful memories will live on forever, death can never take a good man away, in the hearts of people he inspired, the legacy remains and continues throughout generations. He was a great man and father to many, may his soul RIP ,” Musa tweeted.

Leicester Manager Claude Puel and The Foxes’ other players have also paid tributes to their beloved chairman.

Mr Vichai, 60, who was married and had four children, bought Leicester City for £39m in 2010.
