Femi Kuti, Yemi Alade, Omawumi take turns to slam Buhari’s govt

A host of dissatisfied Nigerian music acts have taken turns to slam the present state of the nation under the administration of President Mohammadu Buhari.

Femi Kuti, son of late Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti was the first to hit hard on the Buhari led government when he headlined the Felabration event which ended on Sunday.

While on stage at the event , Femi, in the presence of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said he can’t support Buhari’s government because of his father even though Osinbajo is his friend.

The statement by Femi who revealed days ago about how Osinbajo appealed to him to support Buhari’s government, which he refused, drew a thunderous applause from spectators at the event.

Sensational singer, Omawumi who also performed at the just concluded Felabration also took a swipe at Buhari and Atiku Abubakar saying they are both recycled leaders.

The singer admonished the listening audience to do the right thing by voting out corrupt and incompetent leaders through the ballot.

Yemi Alade was not also left out in the rash of criticism as she also took to social media to spill her guts.

In tweet on her time-line, the singer described Buhari as heartless.

In her tweet, she talked about bad roads, poor educational system and other problems Nigerians are facing currently, and yet politicians still want the masses to vote for them again.
