2019 ELECTIONS: Senate approves N53bn for ONSA, security agencies
For the supervision of 2019 general elections, the Nigerian Senate on Tuesday approved a total sum of N53 billion for the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) and security agencies.
The Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Police Force (NPF), and the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) are also to benefit from the approved money.
The development followed the Senate’s adoption of the recommendations report on the budget by Senate Committee on Appropriations.
Earlier last week the Senate had also approved N189 billion for the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct the elections.
