IGP appears before Senate probe panel as Media barred from coverage

The Police officers attached to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Ibrahim Idris, have blocked journalists covering the Senate from gaining access to the venue of the ongoing probe of the police boss by a Senate adhoc committee.

The journalists, numbering over 15, were barred when they attempted to gain access to the venue, despite being officially invited by the adhoc committee.

The face-off between newsmen and police officers is still ongoing
